Tied By The Sea

Driftwood and seaweed on the beach in Pebble Beach

After a big storm I walked along the beach and there was a lot of driftwood there. These pieces caught my eye as it appeared they were tied together by seaweed. The photo was taken with a Canon EOS D60, at 1/350 sec at f/5.6, ISO 400 on Lexar Digital Film.

I just wonder what the middle pelican is saying to the others? An artistically processed photograph of four Pelicans on the rocks in Pebble Beach.

The photo was taken with a Canon EOS D60, EF17-40mm f/4L lens, 1/500 sec at f/8, ISO 200 on Lexar Digital Film. Post-processing was done with Topaz Adjust and Nik Color Efex Pro 3.0.

We had a family reunion at my brother and sister in law’s house in Austin in 2008. This is a shot of the One Texas Building that houses some City of Austin offices and other businesses. I liked shooting up at this angle and the clouds were pretty dramatic that day as well.

The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 40D, EF17-40mm f/4L lens, 1/125 sec at f/16, ISO 250 on SanDisk Extreme IV Digital Film. It was a single RAW image processed as an HDR in Photomatix Pro.

The Hospice Foundation of the California Central Coast funds compassionate, caring programs for people at the end of life, as well as supportive services for their families. For twenty nine years they have held a golf tournament, dinner, silent and live auctions fundraiser. I donated the photograph below for their silent auction. The print is a 12 x 24 inch panorama matted and framed in a 20 x 30 inch frame.

Pebble Beach Clouds at Sunset

Pebble Beach Clouds at Sunset, a Panorama

This panorama was made from 9 individual photographs stitched together in Photoshop. It was such an amazing sunset with multiple different cloud formations. I was very excited to be there at that moment to capture this. The photos were taken with a Canon EOS 40D, EF17-40mm f/4L lens, 1.3 sec exposures at f/22, ISO 200 on SanDisk Extreme IV Digital Film.
