This image was taken in the same pottery and tile workshop as the previous posts. When I saw these tiles stacked there, I liked the colors and the way the lighting. I knew it would be a special photograph.
PS: I hope you like the new design of the website. It means that, with single images like this one, you won’t have to click on it to enlarge it, although you’ll still want to do that for the galleries of multiple images.

Hi Marty… and Kathleen
I smiled when I saw the photo, I love he ‘ebb and flow’ of the composition– the ‘wave’ of the muted pastel colored tiles against the rough textured wall.
Thanks Marc. I hope all is well in Tucson.
I agree with Cathleen – this is the best photo of the set! Great job.

Thank Brendon. It certainly is one of my favorites and I knew it when I saw those tiles stacked against that wall. Glad you like it.
This is absolutely one of my favorite photos of the whole trip. I remember standing there really wanting to “take in” this scene, the tiles leaning on each other against that great textured wall. The colors, shade, texture, light and composition are beautiful but now seeing the photo I know why it captured me even if I didn’t know it then . . . it’s the past – all the work that created the tiles; the present – just being in those stacks; and the future – the mystery of what great mosaic are they yet to become part of? Love this photo.
I had very much the same feelings as I looked at the tiles and the wall. It was one of those occasional times that I felt “this is going to be a great shot.”
Beautiful colors and textures! Thanks, Marty.
Thank you Susan.
