The Atlas Mountains are a series of mountain ranges in northwestern Africa, mostly through Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. They extend for more than 1,200 miles. The Moroccan High Atlas ends at Mount Toubkal at 13,665 feet elevation. There is a very winding road up one section of the Atlas mountains that we drove up. My image below is looking down on part of that winding section.
This section of road was also used for a television commercial for the Cadillac ATS. Below my image is a replay of that commercial:

Wonderful!! the video was fun to see it in action! As I was looking at it I was wondering how Cathleen fared and she answered it! Great bands! Thanks, Marty, for these fabulous photo memories – it takes all of us on your trip.
Thanks Etsu…
Where’s the ice and snow??
It was next to the Sahara Desert. I guess they left the ice and snow in Colorado.
What’s at the top? Where does the road go from there?
I want to drive the road sooooo badly. My husband forbids it! I think I can do it! 🙂
We never got to the top. That spot was as high as we went, then turned around and went back down. And I have total confidence you could do it…
Marty, you captured a terrific vantage point and scope of the road. Cathleen, glad it brought back good memories.
Thanks Jenny, and those wrist bands really did work for Cathleen.
These mountains are exhilarating! Seeing this photo is almost like being there again. For family and friends wondering how I felt through all those curves and switchbacks – maybe the makers of Sea Band acupressure wrist bands for motion sickness/nausea will send me to Morocco to make a commercial for them. They really worked!
