Cathleen and I went to the 65th Annual Monterey Peninsula Obon Festival this July. It was the first time I had been inside the Monterey Peninsula Buddhist Temple and it was beautiful. The religious objects, the architecture and the colors were wonderful. I tried to capture as much of that beauty as I could in this one photograph.

The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 40D, EF17-40mm f/4L lens, 1/60 sec at f/4, ISO 640 on SanDisk Extreme IV Digital Film.
