The Hippo is responsible for more humans deaths in Africa than any other large animal and is considered by many to be Africa’s most dangerous animal (not counting the mosquito). Hippos are extremely aggressive, unpredictable and not afraid of humans. You don’t want to mess with Hippos!

The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 40D, Sigma APO 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Lens, 1/160 sec at f/6.3, ISO 320 on SanDisk Extreme IV Digital Film. This shot was done with the lens at 500mm (just keeping my distance…).
