Elephant Tusks - Amboseli, Kenya

Amboseli, Kenya is an area well know as a home for many elephants. We were there during a drought and the elephants and other animals were really suffering from the lack of water. It had a devastating effect on the vegetation that is the food for so many of them.
The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 40D, Sigma APO 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Lens, 1/400 sec at f/6.3, ISO 3200 on SanDisk Extreme IV Digital Film.
