The side door of the abanoned Aloha State Theatre in Hanapepe, Kauai, Hawaii.

The Aloha State Theatre is of 1930’s vintage in Hanapepe Kauai. It was abandoned many years ago and has been decaying. This is the side door to the the theatre and reflects the general condition of the building.

It looks like the photos from this trip to Kauai are going to be about sunrises and clouds. This was what it looked like this morning, our first morning here, at 6:23 am. Amazing clouds and colors! I did very little editing to this image and those are the real colors and real darkness in the sky and clouds as I saw them.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted with this beautiful rainbow as we stood on our terrace.
