Peaceful waters at Asilomar Beach in Pacific Grove. At low tide, many tide pools are revealed and are great fun to explore. (Click on the comment number bubble to leave a comment.)
The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 40D, EF17-40mm f/4L lens, 60 seconds sec at f/22, ISO 100 with a 10 stop ND Filter on SanDisk Extreme IV Digital Film.

As you know, this is not one of my favorite techniques. But what I do like and appreciate about your approach to photography is your exploration of different techniques. Although I may not like the result, I know you’re having lots and lots of fun.
Thanks for liking that I’m trying different things with my photography. Actually, this is not a technique I’ve ever tried before. Except for making it black and white in the computer, the rest of the image was all created as a photographic technique in the camera by using a 60 second exposure and a neutral density filter with the camera on a tripod.
Like the perspective! Like to see it wit some different colored filters (red, orange and yellow) and less vignetting.
Thanks Herb. I’ll try it with less vignetting.
I really like that photo. Great technique.
Thanks Brendon. I think it’s going to fun to play with.
It has a beautiful, ethereal quality. Keep going!
Thanks Robin. I’m really looking forward to experimenting with this technique.
