Here’s another photograph of a Moon Jellyfish at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. These translucent jellyfish grow to 15 – 16 inches in diameter. They are found in warm ocean waters worldwide. According to the National Geographic, “in 1991 moon jellies flew aboard the space shuttle Columbia during a study on weightlessness and the development of juvenile jellyfish.”
The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 40D, EF17-40mm f/4L lens, 1/60 sec at f/4, ISO 640 on SanDisk Extreme IV Digital Film.
