A Strohviol (horn-fiddle) originally from Paris, France, 1900-1950 currently on exhibit at the Musical Instrument Museum in Arizona. “This type of instrument was invented by Augustus Stroh for sound amplification in the early days of recording.”

You know how I love shadows…so I really love this photo. Wish I had seen that in person.
I’m sure the museum lit it specifically to generate the shadows.
