Red-Tailed Hawk in Pebble Beach

I frequently saw a Red-Tailed Hawk sitting on this No Trespassing sign alongside a golf course in Pebble beach.
The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 40D, EF 70-200mm f/4L IS lens, +1.4x tele-extender at 1/400 sec, f/5.6, ISO 200 on SanDisk Extreme IV Digital Film.

Great shot. Birds are so hard to photograph.
When it took off to fly, I was only able to get the back 2/3’s of the bird in the photograph. I haven’t mastered “moving” wildlife photography quite yet.
