The Purple-Striped Jellyfish
These Purple-Striped Jellyfish are at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It is a species of jellyfish that exists primarily off the coast of California in Monterey Bay. The bell (body) of the jellyfish is up to 2.3 feet in diameter, typically with a radial pattern of stripes.

The Painted Desert
The Painted Desert is a 146-square-mile area of badlands located in Northern Arizona. The desert is composed of stratified layers of easily erodible siltstone, mudstone, and shale . These fine grained rock layers contain abundant iron and manganese compounds which provide the pigments for the various colors of the region.
