Cathleen and Hussein

Hussein managed the tent camp and was the chief host and cook.

On our last day at the tent camp in the Sahara Desert, we wanted to have a picture of Hussein, who managed the tent camp. He was our chief host and also the chef for our meals. He made a wonderful glass of Moroccan mint tea as well. He was the sweetest, kindest man who had a contagious smile and he spoke pretty good English. He was definitely a special guy.

This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 6D, EF24-105mm f/4L IS lens, 1/125sec at f/16, ISO 250 captured on a Lexar 400x SDXC UHS-1 memory card.

  1. Marty,

What a fabulous picture! You have truly captured Cathleen and Hussein’s happiness. Your photo transports me back to that magic moment. . . the Sahara Desert . . . 2013.

  2. How’d he get those perfect teeth? I thought my Orthodontist was fabulous…!
I love these pictures from Morocco. Your Miky Way picture has become my screen saver! It’s just amazing!

  3. Love his smile . . . now if only I could have a cup of his mint tea! I’m so happy you took this picture, he was a very special part of the trip for me.
