I am extremely proud to announce that my image entitled “Sharpen” has been selected for exhibition at the Center for Photographic Art gallery in Carmel, as part of the 2017 CPA Members’ Juried Exhibition. It was one of 45 images selected to be included from over 1,100 images submitted. It has become my most celebrated image and I had long hoped it would be displayed in the CPA gallery, and now that is going to happen.
I love this image and feel it is one of my finest. You may have seen this image as part of my “Hand Series No.1.” It has been chosen previously to hang in an exhibit in Vermont at the Darkroom Gallery, as well as in the online gallery of images for the 2016 CPA Members’ Juried Exhibition. Each juried exhibition at CPA has jurors different from previous competitions. The jurors for the 2017 exhibition are Elizabeth Corden and Jane Potts of the San Francisco Corden / Potts Gallery.
The current exhibition’s opening reception is Saturday, July 22nd from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and runs through September 3rd. The gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 4:00 pm. I would be honored if you are able to attend the opening reception on July 22nd. If not that evening, please try to visit the exhibition while it’s there. The members of CPA are outstanding and very diverse photographers and image makers.
