The Saguaro and the Ocotillo Cactus

Saguaro and Ocotillo Cactus at the Saguaro National Park, Tucson Arizona

While on a drive through the Saguaro National Park in Tucson, we stopped at a lookout turn off. Along side the parking area were these two cacti, a beautiful Saguaro with its majestic arms and behind it an Ocotillo Cactus in bloom with its brilliant red flowers.

  1. I love the cacti against the brilliant blue sky. A couple weeks later the buds forming at the top of two of the ‘arms’ will blossom into beautiful white flowers. Marc

    1. Thanks Marc…
I did get one shot of a Saguaro starting to bloom that I’ll be posting later. I’m still working on the photos from Bisbee and the Cathedral. This trip really was great, as you know, for photographs.

  2. The epitomy of AZ – I love this! Parches my soul just to look at it. I can feel the dryness and warmth, what I used to dream about when I lived in Oregon and it would rain all but 4 days out of a month. Thank you
